The bell goes at 8.35 am and lessons begin at 8.45 am when the children enter their classes. During the morning the Reception children will complete a phonics task and some written Mathematics and English work. The afternoons are a combination of structured play, both inside and outside, and individual reading with their teacher. Years 1 and 2 also engage in Phonics, English and Mathematics tasks with the addition of Science, French, Geography or History lessons. The day for all classes is also punctuated with Music, Drama, PE, Games or Computing taught by specialist teachers. The children also engage in assembly activities 3 times a week. A morning snack and break is always welcome as is their packed lunch and an opportunity to have a longer time playing with friends in our beautiful playgrounds. The school day ends at 3.00pm for the Reception and Year 1 and 3.15pm for Year 2. They then may either go straight home or stay to enjoy an extra hour participating in an After School Club.
