What a treat the Year 2 children had with a visit from the Borehamwood Fire Service!
The year group has been studying the Great Fire of London and they designed and made replica Tudor houses. To aid the children’s understanding of how quickly the fire spread in 1666, the fire brigade set fire to the houses and the children watched each one burn at great speed. They smelt the smoke, saw the ash and felt the heat.
