I am delighted to announce that we have been awarded the prestigious Gold School Games Award! This is the fourth time that we have been awarded the Gold standard for our PE and Sport provision which is an incredible achievement.
This honour highlights our continuous efforts in ensuring all our children have access to high quality physical education and numerous sporting opportunities. Our dedication towards fostering sportsmanship, teamwork, and inclusivity has been the foundation for this recognition.
I would like to thank all the support staff such as fencing, judo, football and cricket coaches that support the department but especially Miss Neville and Mr Pennant for all their hard work throughout the year in freezing cold, wet conditions and on boiling hot summer days!
A huge round of applause goes to our students who have embraced the spirit of sportsmanship and displayed unwavering enthusiasm in lessons, clubs and fixtures. I also want to thank the PTA who have helped fund PE equipment and the parents who come along and support our events whether that is the PTA football or netball tournaments or just watching fixtures whether home or away. Their support is truly appreciated.
This Gold Award not only celebrates our achievements but inspires us to work harder towards engaging our children in sports and physical activities. We are always looking to make the department grow through new adventures such as the year 4 Bikebaility, golf and girls rugby that we have introduced this year to name but three new activities. We hope to create an even more inclusive, healthy and active community for all of our children next year!
Once again a big thank to you to everyone who has helped make this happen.
