At the start of the year, children from Year 3-6 had the opportunity to enter the Legends of Football competition run by The Elms Sport in Schools. Over 2000 children entered the competition and Diyan from year 6 was one of the winners! 
Diyan had to write a maximum of 100 words on how sport helps both the individual and the community. Diyan’s entry was chosen by the judges and he was one of only 20 selected!
The prize for the competition was to meet and have a training session with England Manager, Gareth Southgate, to see the actual Premier league Trophy and to have a Q and A session and photo with Gareth himself!
It was a wonderful afternoon and Diyan was a great ambassador for our school. Well done to all the children who entered the competition and especially well done to Diyan.
