On Friday 27th January 2023, Year 6 pupils commemorated The Holocaust Memorial Day with a talk by Mrs Engelberg. Mrs Engelberg is not only a grandmother of one of our Year 5 pupils, she is also a History Specialist. 
She spoke to the children about all the key events in WWII and Britain’s role in the war. The children shared their own knowledge of WWII learnt in their recent history lessons and they were taught more about The Allies, The Axis and a range of events leading to VE Day in 1945. The children asked some very interesting questions and listened intently to what Mrs Engelberg was teaching them.
