Our trip to the Hitchin British Schools on 13th January, provided a great opportunity for the children to acquire first-hand experience of what it was like to be a child at school in Victorian England. 
Our children faced Victorian teachers, learnt about Victorian morals, discipline and how the ‘3 R’s’ would have been taught in those days. They also visited a typical Victorian house and had a glimpse into everyday life of a middle-class Victorian family, which was quite fascinating. The trip was greatly enjoyed by all
