On Friday 11th June, Year 4 experienced a ‘Wild Science’ Day at school. ‘Wild Science’ are a leading provider of hands-on animal experiences. They are passionate about animals and science. At the core of Wild Science is the welfare of the animals. Every animal is cared for by experts to ensure a stable, healthy and stress-free life.
During the day, children learnt interesting facts about a wide variety of animals (including invertebrates, mammals, reptiles and amphibians).
They asked some very interesting questions and our visitor was very knowledgeable and answered them all. The children were allowed to hold and/or stroke some of the animals. Some of the children even held the tarantula which was as large as the children’s hands! We had a couple of brave teachers and others who fled!
The children were very quiet and gentle with the animals. It was a very enjoyable and interesting day.
