On Tuesday 23rd March, Year 3 took part in a superb drama workshop delivered by ‘The Drama Hut’, based on this term’s geography topic of the Rainforest. The Drama Hut had transformed one of their actors into a very special virtual visitor… scientist Bethany Bell! Bethany was coming to us LIVE from the Amazon Rainforest and wanted the Year 3 children to help her with her studies – good job they were dressed for exploring!
The session involved lots of interactive activities that incorporated many of the learning objectives the children have covered in their geography lessons over the last few weeks such as: the layers of the rainforest, creatures who call the Amazon Rainforest their home, the daily lives of the indigenous people and ways we can help protect the Rainforest. Great fun was had by all and it was a fantastic way to end the topic and the Spring Term.
