This year our theme for World Book Day has been ‘Alice’s Wonderful World of Words which reflects our work on vocabulary, with a focus on the book Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll. 
As always, we encouraged the children to dress up as part of our celebration. As the theme was Wonderful Words we suggested that costumes reflect a word or a favourite character from the book. As you can see from the photos, the children excelled themselves, as did many of the staff!
The day started with an assembly which everyone thoroughly enjoyed. During the course of the day, there are many activities planned including a word puzzle treasure hunt around the school. 
There are also class based activities with older children being buddies with younger children. On Monday, 9th March we have the ‘Fabulous, Magical Once Upon a Story Bus’ visiting.
