Pupils at Radlett Preparatory School participated in an Elf Run, back in December, to raise money for The Peace Hospice Care Home in Watford. The children managed to raise a staggering amount of money, over £5000!
On Monday 8th December, a visitor known as The Elf King visited the school to explain how money raised would help people staying at the hospice.
Then, starting on Monday 8th December and running all week, pupils took part in the race. On the day of the run, pupils ran around the school building wearing elf hats. Everyone managed to complete two laps successfully.
On Monday 27th January The Elf King and Harvey, the Peace Hospice mascot, returned to Radlett Preparatory School to collect a rather huge cheque! “This is brilliant! This is a very large cheque for a very large amount of money!” the Elf King announced proudly in the assembly.
