On Tuesday 26th March a squad of 6 gymnasts took part in the Watford and Hertsmere Schools Sports Partnership Key Stage 2 Gymnastics Finals held at Queens School. Each pupil had to perform an individual vault which consisted of a straight jump or straddle jump and take part in a team 10 skill set floor routine to music. The teams were to be judged on their execution of the skills and their timing and synchronicity.
There were six schools in the competition and Radlett Preparatory School was fifth to perform their vault and floor routine. Each pupil performed a very good vault gaining excellent height off the box and landing with precision on the crash mat. The competition was of a very high standard and Radlett Prep’s floor routine was aesthetically pleasing, in time with the music and all movements were well executed from start to finish.
At the end of the competition the results were announced and Radlett Preparatory School were the winners of the competition and each pupil was presented with a medal.
Congratulations to all the year 3 and 4 pupils who took part in the competition and for their hard work and determination to achieve this success.
