World Book Day 2019 was an utter success! 
Our theme of ‘Fabulous Facts’ proved popular and inspirational. Children’s costumes were creative and the detail that went into them was impressive and the teachers also dressed up.
The day started with an assembly, led by Reception Class RP and Year 1 Class 1M. Having established the difference between fiction and non-fiction books, children then sorted a range of books together.
Throughout the day, pupils explored the school grounds, carrying out a Fact Finding Treasure Hunt.Pupils chose a topic and then searched for relevant information, before compiling it into a whole class non-fiction book.
Mrs Mileham and Miss Parmar are already planning next year’s theme, so watch this space…
