This term, Year 3 have been taking part in a design technology project, linked to their history subject of The Stone Age. They have studied batik and where it originates. They have planned their own design for a T-shirt based on Stone Age cave paintings.
The children have been applying batik wax to T-shirts with the help of several parents, to whom we are grateful. The next stage will be dying the T-shirts and then after half term they will be ironing the wax off and then finishing by evaluating our project. The children have thoroughly enjoyed this topic so far and are eager to show off the finished T-shirts.
