EPSCA Chess Semi-Final Bristol 12th May
24 children from Years 2-6 traveled to Bristol with their families to compete in the semi finals of the English Primary Schools Chess Association (“EPSCA”) national chess tournament. We could not have been prouder of their team spirit in both wins and losses. Altogether each child played 5 games over the one day. We were fortunate to have Mr Kumar there to coach the children during the day.
Unfortunately none of the teams made it through to thE final, but to get this far in a national tournament was a fantastic achievement in itself.
Thank you to all the families that took part and for all their support over the whole weekend and making it run so smoothly.
