Our Year 4 children have gone on their first school residential trip, which is held at Walton Firs Activity Centre in Surrey,
The children will get the chance to connect with the outdoors, be introduced to new life-skills designed to build confidence. Some of the activities that the children will be doing are:
Wild Survivor Bushcraft – Shelter building, survival skills (natural cordage, water filtration), navigation and tracking, fire-lighting, and camp-fire cooking.
Wild Night Safari – Exploring the woodland at night and learning more about its creatures.
Team-building – Fun woodland games and challenges.
Evening Activities – Include Cresta Run Toboggans, team games and campfire.
Two Adventurous Activities – to be confirmed but options include: Abseiling, Climbing, Archery, Potholing, Crates Stacking, Zipwire, Kayaking and High Ropes.
Accommodation: Pods with bunk beds.
The children left this morning and the sun was shining!! We hope they have a wonderful time.
