Year 6 were visited by The Legal Eagles’ (local magistrates) on Tuesday 25th April. The children learnt a lot about our local courts, the role of a magistrate and the age of certain restrictions. For example, when can you babysit, drive and legally wed?
The children all participated in a mock court case. We had some excellent Legal Advisors, Ushers. Chairpeople, Defence and Crown Prosecution Service!
The magistrates were very complimentary on the behaviour and enthusiasm of our Year 6 children.
