Today we allocated compost caddies to every classroom in the school. Children will now be putting food waste into the caddies every day and children from each class will be depositing the waste bags to our brand new compost bins. We will use the compost to help plant trees and flowers around the school.
Our Woodland Ambassadors had a meeting with Mr Pillinger and Miss Smith today to discuss the exciting projects we have planned for the school to help reduce our carbon footprint and raise awareness of climate change. We are currently awaiting delivery of 350 tress from the Woodlands Trust – a big thank you to all the children who have designed some fantastic models to help with the planting of our trees.
